    1. All of my solutions are directly from the homework problems that I was assigned during undergrad.
I didn't have time to make videos for chapters 24 - 30, so I created calculators that can be downloaded and answers easily obtained just by putting in the numbers you have.
If you have specific problems, I can take a stab at them

  7. Hi Mike

Your explanations are really helpful :D. I was so confused at the beginning with University level Physics and I am starting to understand now...I was wondering if it was possible for you to do some challenge problems for the topics as well in the same way.

    Cheers :)

    1. Anonymous,
I wouldn't mind doing challenge problems (sometime in the future), but right now I'm in the middle of medical school.... It's a big damper on some of those lofty goals I have of helping the world learn to love physics.
Also, Although I seem like a boss in my videos -- I got all of those questions from my homework assignments in undergrad. In essence, I knew before I ever started the videos if I had the correct answer or not. If I didn't, I spent several hours trying to figure out why my answers were wrong, and when I finally figured it out, I would make a video....BUT because of my love for how the world works, and because I forced myself to understand -- and repetition from making the videos--I was one of the top two in my physics classes (2nd in class for physics 1, and 1st in class for physics 2).

    2. Hey Mike

I understand what you are indirectly trying to say. Instead of trying to rote learn everything or being spoon fed everything I should think for myself. You are right that is a better way to learn Physics( or anything else). So I will do exactly that...Oh yeah all the best with you medical school courses.

      Cheers :)

    3. Well, I didn't mean to imply anything about "rote" learning. ALOT of learning is about rote memorization. In physics you have two possibilities:
      1. You can learn the concepts and then use those concepts to deriv the equations every time you need them. Or
      2. You can memorize the equations and use the equations to teach you the concepts.

I use both methods. If the textbook did not adequately explain the concept, I would memorize the equations and use those equations to teach the concept to myself. I'd ask, what is this equation actually saying. Can I translate this from the language of math into the language of english.
On the other hand, if the book did a good job at teaching the concepts, I would simply understand and memorize the concepts, and use those concepts to re-create the equation whenever I needed to use it.

I think what I was implying was, if you are seeking challenge problems, you should make them! Do them! And maybe even make some videos for those problems.
      - If you did make videos, I'd definitely host the best of them here on this blog!
