Prophylactic Treatment During Hospitalization

A stay in the hospital can be a dangerous thing, unless you're well managed and potential problems are addressed before they begin.

This video covers Venous Thromboembolism (VTE, ie. DVT and PE), Hospital Acquired Infections, and Pre-surgical Prophylactic measures.

Not covered in this video is Pressure Ulcers, Hypothermia, Impaired Nutrition, Impaired Psychological State, and Gastric Ulcers (all of which can be considered prophylaxis, when treated before problems begin).
